I have been going to Pereslavl, one of my favorite cities of the Golden Ring, since 2009. For me, Pereslavl is a special city, perhaps due to the uniqueness of Lake Pleshcheyevo and the winds that blow over it.
This time I choose to stay not in the city, but 12 km away from it, at the Azimut Hotel Pereslavl, which is part of AZIMUT Hotels, the first Russian hotel chain represented on the international market, the winner of the Russian Hospitality Awards in the Developer of the Year nomination.
This is an international suburban complex, on the territory of which there are two buildings SKY and FOREST. Lovers of secluded relaxation can check into separate guest houses that can accommodate the whole family or a group of friends. 4 houses are equipped with bath complexes with Russian, Finnish or Turkish baths.
Also on site there is a sports complex, a wellness center, and various activities are held on weekends. For adults – billiards, karaoke bar, cinema club, team building, quests, master classes, evening gatherings by the fire, balloon flights, trips to the hippodrome, organizing fishing, kiting, etc. For younger guests – a weekly animation program, children’s mini -club. Also on the territory there are various sports grounds and rental of sports equipment for outdoor activities.
And in the wellness center, located in the central building of FOREST, there are 3 saunas (Finnish, laconium and aroma sauna), and a snow room, ideal for completing SPA rituals. And, of course, body and face care programs – using advanced brands of cosmetics aimed at restoring the skin of the face and body, deep relaxation, cleansing and energizing the body.
All this makes Azimut Hotel Pereslavl an ideal option not only for family or friends, but also for corporate holidays.
In the Forest building, there is the Firebird restaurant, the atmosphere of which is created by murals based on Russian fairy tales, a fireplace and a beautiful view of nature from the windows, as well as the FOREST lobby bar, a unique feature of the interior of which is a painted wall – a map depicting the main sights of Yaroslavl. Here you can order dishes and drinks from the a la carte menu. In summer, the bar welcomes guests on the summer terrace, where on warm days it is so pleasant to drink coffee while sitting on a swing and enjoying the views of the surrounding fields.
And, of course, there is something to see in Pereslavl-Zalessky. It is worth coming here several times, because at one time you can’t do anything. Therefore, I recommend every time to scout something new. On past visits, I had an extensive excursion program, including visits to monasteries and Sin-stone, so this time I explored new places:
– “Maria Koval Cheese Factory” – you can take a tasting (but very small) set. For my taste, levarden with herbs, cheese with carrot juice and skomorets are good. All cheeses are cow’s milk. While you are tasting the cheeses, the children will play with the animals in the petting zoo;
– If you move from the cheese factory along the same road, then after about 60 km you can find the incredible beauty of the Nikolo-Solbinsky Convent, which rarely gets to, because the road there is simply disgusting. So, if you choose to see this Pereslavl wonder of the world, take care of your tires;
– Another project of Maria Koval is the cafe “Peresvil” in the city center, not far from the ramparts. There is delicious coffee and pastries, as well as the same cheeses and sour-milk products as in the cheese factory;
– “Princely. Farm and Food” in the village of Knyazhevo (from the ex-creator of “Lavka Lavka” Boris Akimov). The tasting set includes 6 dishes. Everything is made from products grown on the farm. There are many different animals and birds on the farm, including charming Hungarian curly pigs – not only children, but also adults will be delighted with them.
Pereslavl is good at any time of the year. And meeting with him is always a bright joy.
