French classic and three-star Michelin acc. Alain Ducassewhich I already wrote about here (and repeatedly) in November will open its first restaurant in the Caribbean. He will arrange it at a new hotel from W Retreat & Spa, their first hotel in the Caribbean! It is not yet known exactly what W Retreat & Spa: Vieques Island will be exactly, but, apparently, something terribly pleasant awaits us. The hotel will occupy the 55-acre island of Vieques, not far from the south coast Puerto Rico.
In a restaurant calledmix on the beach» Ducasse and his team intend to offer the public a complex menu, which, as they promise, will “merge bright Latin-Caribbean flavors, the masterful ornateness of French cuisine and freshness, guaranteed by the fact that the cook here will be exclusively from products grown and caught right on the spot. Plus – a masterful and creative presentation. The restaurant will be located partly outdoors, partly indoors. And in both cases, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy not only the great taste of dishes, but also unique spectacular views of the ocean … In addition, Ducasse and who will be responsible for all the food in the new hotel, not just the restaurant. Namely, for the W Café, for the Living Room bar, for the WET bar and terraces, for the W Welcome Lounge at the airport of Vieque Island, and, of course, for the food that will be brought to the guest rooms.
