Luxury boutique hotel in a historic building in Glasgow

Colleague from Scotland told me today that in October in Glasgow a new luxury hotel opens in a famous historical building. Blythswood Square. The previous owner of this early 19th century property was the Royal Scottish Automobile Club. After being bought by boutique hotel group The Town House Collection, the building has undergone a loving but meticulous renovation. As a result, a luxury hotel and spa center arose, while retaining all the generic features of an old Scottish house: marble fireplaces, wood paneling, columns, and so on and so forth…

The hotel has 100 rooms, including a penthouse with a private elevator and a terrace overlooking all the main architectural features of the city.

In addition, the hotel will operate the first Glasgow luxury spa. And, of course, a restaurant.

Bookings for October and beyond are now available. By the way, I’ll try to go there, although initially Glasgow and didn’t fit in my itinerary…
