A sensory experience
From waking up with the sun to riding the crests of the waves, from learning the art of chocolate making to abandoning your body to relaxation at the Spa, a romantic getaway at Six Senses Laamu is a sensory experience. Its contemporary design offers comfort as well as open spaces, celebrating all that luxury means while still having constant access to nature. Six Senses Laamu is as serious about world-renowned service as it is about marine conservation, sharing the love of the Maldives in style and sustainability alike
A private paradise
Six Senses Laamu Water Villa with Pool is the ultimate private retreat for a couple and the furthest location from the main island. From the treetop terrace offering panoramic views to dining on the aquarium pontoon with a glass table, the villa offers views both above and below the water. A sunken glass tub and outdoor shower gives guests constant access to nature, with seascape scenes underfoot and beyond the horizon.
Features of the villa: 1 bedroom, 126 sqm.
A Nest of Love: A Journey to Wellness
Exclusively for couples, the spa treatment nests are surrounded by the island’s natural vegetation, ensuring absolute privacy. Guests can take the opportunity to rekindle closeness and communion in a mindful and playful way with “Ubuntu: The Couple’s Journey.” It includes a range of treatments including steam, meditation, crystal healing, massage and aromatherapy bath. “Ubuntu” or the spirit of “Together” in Zulu represents the idea that “I am because we are” – an African concept that we exist because others exist.
Sail away with me
A traditional private Dhoni cruise invites couples to sail off into the sunset, gazing at the horizon and prosecco in hand. Guests will enjoy delicious canapés at dusk as the stars illuminate the way back to shore. Those who prefer the dawn, will wake up with the sun and sail to greet the day together, accompanied by champagne and fresh pastries. For an all-day getaway, guests can take a 40-minute speedboat ride to a private island with a prepared picnic basket, bottle of wine, and snorkeling gear.
Dinner at the Deck-a-Dence restaurant
Guests can dine at the resort’s most exclusive restaurant, Deck-a-Dence, with only 6 glass-bottomed tables available, set right above the waves. A special wellness cuisine has been prepared by the chef, using locally inspired ingredients. Altitude Winery welcomes wine lovers with its collection of 420 old and new world vintages. The 6.4 meter high wine tower rises from the ocean, with wine tasting accompanied by imported European cheeses as the perfect accompaniment.
For the love of nature
Six Senses Laamu recently launched a new ‘Sustainability Camp’. Covering the topics of ‘Zero Waste’, ‘Home Grown’ and ‘Conservation of Nature’, it aims to give guests an insight into the sustainability initiatives and techniques used to operate the resort, as well as provide skills for the future.
The camp runs over three days, with two 90-minute sessions per day. Four sessions are available for each topic, allowing guests to choose two for each day’s activities. Each session is led by a specialist team member who shares their knowledge and experience in the field through workshops and interactive activities.
